We Need Your Help!

As we fast approach the start of a new school year the workload always seems to increase many times the normal and the need for additional support becomes an ongoing challenge. So this month my article will be short, to the point and focused on the task of inviting and encouraging your active support.

If you are a past booster club officer or director, or know of a person who has booster club experience I would like to personally speak with you. We need individuals throughout the country to assist us with providing booster clubs in their community with support, guidance and NABCA solutions. This is a tremendous opportunity for anyone who doesn't have a great deal of time, but wants to help make a difference.

NABCA is also looking to expand our national marketing team. We are seeking individuals (large need in; WA, AZ, CO, CT, OR, CA) who understand the value that extracurricular programs provide our kids and who want to be a part of a team dedicated to helping booster clubs become stronger support systems for their schools and extracurricular programs. We welcome individuals with varied levels of marketing experience. We have special need for individuals who can handle statewide marketing campaigns.

Last, NABCA is seeking interns who would like to gain tremendous experience and the opportunity to enhance their resume. Interns chosen to assist NABCA will be assigned selected tasks that can be conducted from any geographic location.

Open enrollment takes place for booster clubs August 20th through the month of September. This is the perfect time to register your club and take advantage of the club building tools, resources, training and support offered to members.

Email notices will start on August 20th and if you would like to insure that your club receives notice you can send us an email with your club name, contact and email address.

Dear Nancy,
Fundraising is the #1 activity for booster clubs and last year in the secondary schools alone there was over 2 billion dollars in fundraising. Finding a program that fits your group and meets your goals is very important. Understanding the true profit versus what is sometimes promoted is also something you want to keep in mind. NABCA allows only the best of the best fundraising companies to become members of the association so I would suggest you search through the database of fundraising companies found in Fundraising Corner to get an idea of the different types of fundraising programs available. I would then suggest that you complete the online Fundraising Questionnaire so we can help guide you to the perfect fundraising fit.
